Before Updating

Create a backup before changing your FiveM artifacts version. This gives you a recovery point if a resource or script is incompatible with the newer build.

  1. Open Backups and create a new backup.
  2. Wait for the backup to complete.
  3. Stop the server.

Update the Artifacts Version

Depending on your FiveM server configuration, the artifacts version may be controlled through a startup variable or through the reinstall process.

  1. Open Startup.
  2. Locate the artifacts/build version variable if your service provides one.
  3. Enter the desired supported version, or use the latest option if available.
  4. Save the setting.
  5. If your service requires a reinstall to download the new artifacts, use the reinstall process after confirming your backup is complete.
  6. Start the server and check the console for errors.
Resource compatibility matters. If the server fails after an update, review the console for the resource causing the error and restore your backup if necessary.
